You need to be in tip-top shape to put on excess amounts of hair gel and fist pump the night away -- so that's why the cast of "Jersey Shore" is going to get their physicals.
Sources tell TMZ that Snooki, Pauly D, The Situation and company will be submitting to full medical check-ups beginning Monday morning -- including breathing tests and a work-up of their family history.
And get this: We're told Angelina knew nothing about any of this. So either MTV doesn't care if she kicks the bucket this season ... or they have no interest in bringing her back.

Amy and Matt Roloff -- stars of "Little People, Big World" -- hit the beach in Hawaii yesterday for a little fun in the sun.
FYI -- the weather in Maui yesterday was around 77 degrees and sunny ... which is way better than the weather around the Roloff's home in Oregon, which was 48 degrees and rainy.
Sometimes reality shows really pay off .

"American Pickers" resident antique expert Frank Fritz isn't just into old boring things -- the "History Channel" star once took part in a wet T-shirt contest, where he expressed a passion for some x-rated classics.
Turns out Fritz was the water boy for the visually stimulating aquatic event at an Iowa biker convention back in 2007 -- before he was tapped for "American Pickers."
By the looks of the photos, first posted on NebraskaCoeds.com, Fritz definitely found something worth appraising.
